This role is based at the Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida, a vibrant and contemporary collegiate property within the Pyramid Hotel Group’s portfolio. The hotel features 173 guest rooms, 1,200 square feet of meeting space, and a signature restaurant and bar serving three meals daily, making it a premier workplace in the Gainesville area. Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food and beverage supervision or management
  • proven ability to manage cost controls and inventory systems
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • capacity to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • commitment to upholding food safety and quality standards

  • previous experience working at a restaurant in a luxury hotel or full service resort

Job Duties

  • attend weekly meetings relaying information about upcoming events to staff
  • supply information about capabilities and programs to other departments and clients
  • respond to needs and requests of guests and potential guests
  • ensure implementation and maintenance of standards of food beverage and service quality
  • implement effective cost controls for food beverage and labor
  • utilize systems for inventory receiving and product utilization
  • lead by following standards of productivity for food beverage personnel
  • create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees
  • assist with hiring and training programs
  • assist in other Food and Beverage outlets as needed
