The Food and Beverage Supervisor position is a pivotal role within the hospitality team, offering an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about event coordination, client interaction, and team leadership. This role involves overseeing meal service for banquets and catering functions, ensuring compliance with banquet event orders and upholding high standards of service, quality, and hospitality. As a supervisor, you will work closely with kitchen staff, the sales team, and direct event service teams to ensure seamless execution of food and beverage operations. Your responsibilities will cover multiple facets, including managing event setups, monitoring food preparation timing, supervising staff service, and maintaining the overall guest experience from arrival to departure.

You will also play a critical role in guest relations, welcoming guests, responding to their needs, and resolving any issues promptly to maintain the hotel's professional image. Attention to detail is essential as you will review banquet event orders with clients, ensuring that all aspects of their events—from room setup to audio-visual functions—are executed flawlessly. Furthermore, you will contribute to operational efficiency by assisting in inventory management, cost control, scheduling, and staff development. This position requires a professional demeanor and a hospitable attitude, with the ability to remain composed under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.

This position is physically demanding, necessitating comfort with standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods, and requires little to no travel beyond the property and surrounding area. The pay range for this role is competitive, spanning from $17.97 to $40.48 per hour, depending on the state, market, and your experience level. Job Duties

  • Execute and oversee the setup of meeting spaces for banquet and catering events to ensure compliance with banquet event orders with optimal level of service quality and hospitality
  • Work with and supervise kitchen staff on the timing of food preparation to ensure that meals are ready on time in accordance with specifications on the banquet event order and are served in a visually appealing manner
  • Supervise and direct the prompt efficient and friendly serving of all food and beverage for banquets and gallery
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure clients are happy with all aspects of their events including room set up F&B service A/V functions and food quality
  • Meet with the clients on the day of event to review the banquet event order and any changes to ensure delivery of a quality product
  • Welcome guests and monitors the dining area during meal time to ensure adequate supplies that guest needs are met and supports the hotels overall hospitality image and objectives
  • Follow required sanitation procedures for food handling safety Obtains and maintains any food handling certificates that may apply
