Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Must convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must evaluate and select alternative actions quickly and accurately
  • Must show initiative and anticipate needs
  • Must work well under high-pressure situations
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with safety and operational regulations
  • Assist in maintaining food and beverage costs
  • Communicate closely with employees and motivate staff
  • Monitor servers' cash overages and shortages
  • Maintain service standards and conduct coaching sessions
  • Handle guest complaints and emergencies
  • Maintain disciplinary actions
  • Ensure employees are attentive and courteous
  • Assist in wage progress and productivity reporting
  • Prepare staff schedules according to business forecast
  • Assist in inventories and reconciliations
  • Ensure completion of side work duties
  • Develop promotional ideas
  • Organize monthly department meetings
  • Promote sales efforts
  • Prepare and conduct employee performance appraisals
  • Maintain quality and presentation of food products
  • Attend required meetings
  • Perform other management duties as assigned
