The Food and Beverage Operations Manager position at The Boulders Resort and Spa is a pivotal leadership role within their hospitality team. This role requires a passionate and dynamic individual who is proactive, solution-oriented, and leads by example. The manager will be responsible for the seamless operation of all food and beverage services across several distinguished outlets including the Palo Verde Restaurant, Discovery Lounge, Resort Pool, The Grill, Bogeys Bar, and In-Room Dining. Their leadership will ensure that the highest standards of quality in food, beverage, and guest service are consistently maintained, reflecting the resort’s 4-star status.

In this position, the successful candidate will oversee all facets of the Food and Beverage department’s daily operations while fostering a positive and engaging work environment for the associates. This includes selecting, training, and mentoring team members to nurture recruitment, retention, and professional development, shaping top-tier service performers. The role demands expert management of operational duties, cost controls, and revenue enhancement strategies. Collaborating closely with the culinary team, the manager will ensure flawless execution of service delivery, creating memorable dining experiences for all guests.

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Food and Beverage leadership at a high-end resort
  • strong knowledge of food, wine, and sales

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role within Food and Beverage at a high-end resort
  • able to inspire and manage a team effectively, leading by example
  • strong knowledge of food, wine, and sales processes
  • highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through, creativity, enthusiasm, and flexibility
  • proficient in computer applications including Word and Excel
  • exceptional communication skills, both internally with team members and externally with guests
  • ability to translate vision into concrete, actionable steps
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Implement and maintain the highest standards of food, beverage, and service quality befitting a 4-star resort
  • select, train, and mentor associates to promote quality recruitment, retention, and career development, creating top service performers
  • plan, direct, assign, and delegate responsibilities across all Food & Beverage areas to meet daily operational needs and exceed guest expectations
  • monitor guest service standards and proactively seek opportunities to enhance product offerings and service quality, driving revenue growth
  • implement effective cost controls related to food, beverage, and labor to ensure profitability
  • facilitate open communication by conducting daily stand-up meetings with associates, sharing important information and encouraging their input
  • collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure flawless execution and a memorable experience for both hotel guests and external patrons
