The company is dedicated to cultivating a supportive work environment where employees can develop both personally and professionally while enjoying the dynamic lifestyle of mountain living. With a reputation as a leader in the ski and snowboard industry, Vail Resorts offers its teams access to cutting-edge training programs and development opportunities designed to sharpen skills and enhance career growth in the hospitality and recreation sectors.
The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager role at Vail Resorts provides an exciting opportunity to lead multiple resort food and beverage outlets, including full service restaurants, quick service locations, bars, and special event catering. This winter seasonal position is full-time and spans the 2026/2027 season, focusing on delivering high-quality culinary and service experiences in a bustling mountain environment. With wages ranging from $56,858 to $65,000 plus an annual bonus, the role offers competitive compensation along with a generous benefits package. Although housing is not provided, the position invites energetic, hospitality-focused individuals who are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and shaping a positive team culture.
As the F&B Manager, you will oversee daily operations and ensure all aspects of food and beverage services meet corporate standards for quality and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing schedules, labor costs, overseeing inventory, ordering, payroll, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The role demands hands-on leadership, including active participation on the floor to inspire peak performance from both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The manager will conduct regular pre-shift briefings, one-on-one meetings, and thorough staff training sessions aligned with Vail Resorts’ Leadership Competencies and Core Values, including Connect, Develop, Drive, Out-Front, Passion, Re-Imagine, and Elevate.
Vail Resorts emphasizes a comprehensive approach to workplace excellence, encompassing guest service, operational efficiency, and employee development. In this fast-paced environment, the F&B Manager must combine keen interpersonal skills with sound judgment to navigate complex situations confidently. Duties include collaborating with corporate F&B experts to ensure menu consistency and portion control, monitoring safety and sanitation compliance, and administering timely and fair employee evaluations. The position also requires ensuring payment handling protocols are strictly followed and actively contributing to organizational meetings and strategy sessions.
Joining Vail Resorts means more than just employment; it is about joining a community that celebrates the love of outdoor adventure and mountain culture. Employees benefit from free ski passes, discounted lift tickets, complimentary ski and snowboard lessons, and significant retail discounts. Additional perks include wellness programs, a 401(k) retirement plan, and a referral program designed to reward personal networks and teamwork. With a strong focus on professional development via Epic Service training and career advancement opportunities, this role is ideal for someone driven to thrive in a high-energy, guest-focused resort environment, eager to build a rewarding career in food and beverage management.
