The Food and Beverage/Outlet Manager role at Sonesta International Hotels is a pivotal position responsible for the leadership and operational success of multiple food and beverage outlets within the hotel. This includes overseeing front-of-house operations at establishments like Desire Oyster Bar, Jazz Playhouse, LeBooze, PJ's Coffee Cafe, Oasis Pool Bar, and In-Room Dining services. The manager will be tasked with ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by monitoring service, sanitation, and productivity standards across these venues. In addition, they will forecast revenue and expenses, maintain equipment inventories, implement policies, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role also involves staff management responsibilities including training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed. The Food and Beverage/Outlet Manager will coordinate special events and promotional activities such as festivals while emphasizing accident prevention to reduce liabilities. Leadership duties extend to supervising subordinate managers and employees, conducting performance appraisals, hiring, and ensuring a positive team environment that encourages trust, open communication, and respect.

Job Requirements
- Higher education in business or related field is an asset
- Previous hotel, restaurant, and bar experience is required
- Basic bartending skills are an asset
- Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit required
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must have strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience in managing teams and handling employee issues professionally
- Ability to comply with company policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Valid ServSafe Manager certification
- Valid Louisiana Responsible Vendors License
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in hotel, restaurant, and bar operations
- Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of MICROS Food and Beverage POS system is a plus
- Ability to manage difficult customer situations
- Ability to present information effectively in small group settings
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
