The Food and Beverage Manager position at the Hilton Bloomington offers a dynamic and impactful role overseeing all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations. This includes managing the ChopHouse restaurant, Olive Lounge, banquet and catering functions, in-room dining, and other F&B outlets. The role is crucial in maintaining consistent service quality, food presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction across all venues. The manager will coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure operational excellence, staffing efficiency, and compliance with hotel policies. Financial acumen is required to manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance effectively. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Manager will work closely with Sales and Catering teams to ensure successful execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events, guaranteeing that banquet services meet client expectations and hotel standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree in Hotel Restaurant Management or Culinary School preferred
  • 3-5 years previous food and beverage management experience
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant lounge/bar and banquet operations
  • Knowledge of beverage operations and understanding of wine varieties labels and vintages
  • Ability to work entire shift standing and moving about in banquet restaurants and kitchen areas
  • Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers including those requiring high levels of patience tact and diplomacy

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets including restaurant lounge/bar banquet facilities and in-room dining
  • Ensure consistent service quality food presentation cleanliness and guest satisfaction across all outlets
  • Coordinate and support supervisors and team members to maintain operational excellence
  • Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak and non-peak periods
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality
  • Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Manage departmental budgets forecasts and financial performance
  • Collaborate with Sales and Catering teams to plan and execute meetings conferences weddings and special events
  • Ensure banquet events are delivered according to client expectations and hotel standards
  • Oversee banquet setup service execution and post-event evaluations
  • Maintain a high quality hotel image through effective housekeeping and sanitation in the Food and Beverage operation
  • Secure all Food and Beverage property and inventories
  • Implement and support hotel policies and procedures
  • Assess and review the job performance of subordinates and maintain records of assigned associates according to policy
  • Hire induct orient and train assigned personnel to meet departmental responsibilities
  • Ensure appropriate standards of conduct dress hygiene and appearance are maintained
