The LifeCafe Leader role is a dynamic and hands-on position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation and growth of a LifeCafe location. This position entails leading both front-of-house and back-of-house teams with a devoted focus on delivering high-quality food and impeccable customer service. LifeCafe Leaders are instrumental in fostering a fun, fast-paced, and highly engaging environment that aligns closely with Life Time’s standards and mission. The role requires an individual who excels not only in managing daily operations but also in developing team members through effective training and motivation to build a culture centered around performance and growth. Key responsibilities include managing financial elements such as profit and loss oversight, budgeting, and cost control for food, beverage, and labor to ensure efficient and profitable operations.

The LifeCafe Leader works closely alongside their team, performing duties "in the zone" to maintain quality in menu execution, meet ticket timing goals, and uphold exceptional service levels. They must also ensure that safety, cleanliness, and security standards are rigorously followed throughout their location by conducting regular inspections and hands-on coaching. Flexibility is essential as this role demands working various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays to keep operations seamless. Moreover, LifeCafe Leaders are expected to bring a systems-oriented and process-minded approach that supports continuous operational improvement. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days nights weekends and holidays
  • Excellent knowledge of cost control labor reporting KPIs
  • Systems oriented and process minded with a strong ability to develop and implement new systems for continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle pressure well and maintain composure in any situation

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent
  • Alcohol safety certification if applicable
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • College degree in culinary business or related field preferred
  • Preferred chef or culinary experience
  • Prior or current business owner experience

Job Duties

  • Oversees front-of-house and back-of-house operations including inventory scheduling payroll and adherence to operational policies
  • Works in the zone alongside the team ensuring quality execution of menu items accurate ticket times and exceptional service
  • Manages business financials including P&L budgeting and cost controls for food beverage and labor
  • Hires trains develops and motivates team members to build a high-performing growth-minded team culture
  • Ensures compliance with all safety cleanliness and security protocols through regular inspection and coaching
