The LifeCafe Leader role is a crucial leadership position responsible for ensuring the overall performance and growth of a LifeCafe location. This hands-on management role demands a dynamic individual who can effectively lead all facets of cafe operations from front-of-house service and back-of-house preparations to financial oversight and team development. The LifeCafe Leader works side-by-side with team members, fostering a fast-paced, high-touch, and engaging environment that consistently meets Life Time's standards of quality and service. They are charged with driving business results by managing inventory, scheduling, and payroll, while also promoting a positive, growth-oriented team culture.

In this role, the LifeCafe Leader must demonstrate strong operational expertise and leadership skills, regularly monitoring operational policies, quality control measures, safety and cleanliness standards, and customer satisfaction. The position offers a salary starting at $64,000 and can rise to $88,000 depending on experience and qualifications. It is a salaried position that also offers bonus eligibility based on meeting performance metrics. The ideal candidate will bring a background in the foodservice or hospitality industry with at least three years of leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, complemented by certifications such as ServSafe and CPR/AED. Additionally, candidates with culinary or business education and prior ownership experience are highly valued.

This position requires flexibility to work varied schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days nights weekends and holidays
  • Excellent knowledge of cost control labor reporting KPIs
  • Systems oriented and process minded with a strong ability to develop and implement new systems for continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle pressure well and maintain composure in any situation

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • Alcohol safety certification if applicable
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • College degree in culinary business or related field preferred
  • Preferred chef or culinary experience
  • Prior or current business owner experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversees front-of-house and back-of-house operations including inventory scheduling payroll and adherence to operational policies
  • Works in The Zone alongside the team ensuring quality execution of menu items accurate ticket times and exceptional service
  • Manages business financials including P&L budgeting and cost controls for food beverage and labor
  • Hires trains develops and motivates team members to build a high-performing growth-minded team culture
  • Ensures compliance with all safety cleanliness and security protocols through regular inspection and coaching
