The LifeCafe Leader position at Life Time is a dynamic and hands-on leadership role responsible for the overall success and growth of a LifeCafe location, a key part of the company’s hospitality and food service operations. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with a passion for food service excellence and team development. The LifeCafe Leader works directly alongside team members in "The Zone," guiding daily operations to ensure seamless execution of high-quality menu items, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflow. This person is accountable for managing financial aspects such as profit and loss statements, budgeting, and cost control related to food, beverages, and labor. The role requires overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including inventory management, scheduling, payroll, and strict adherence to company policies. Beyond operational oversight, the LifeCafe Leader plays a crucial role in coaching, hiring, training, and motivating staff to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented, and high-performing team culture. Another vital aspect of the position is maintaining compliance with all safety, cleanliness, and security standards through vigilant inspections and continual coaching. This position demands flexibility, as work hours include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the 24/7 nature of hospitality services. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • excellent knowledge of cost control, labor, reporting KPIs
  • systems oriented and process minded with a strong ability to develop and implement new systems for continuous improvement
  • ability to handle pressure well and maintain composure in any situation
  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • alcohol safety certification if applicable
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversees front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including inventory, scheduling, payroll, and adherence to operational policies
  • works in "The Zone" alongside the team, ensuring quality execution of menu items, accurate ticket times, and exceptional service
  • manages business financials, including P&L, budgeting, and cost controls for food, beverage, and labor
