The company emphasizes the human side of hospitality, delivering service with genuine passion, loyalty infused with purpose, and memorable experiences that deeply connect with guests. As of now, Sonesta operates over 1,000 properties across eight countries and counting, showcasing its expansive global footprint. Their mission focuses on bringing quality, value, and exceptional hospitality to every guest and every stay. As an employer, Sonesta International Hotels prides itself on its inclusive, collaborative culture that fosters growth, teamwork, and professional excellence.
The Food and Beverage/Outlet Manager role at Sonesta International Hotels is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the overall performance, productivity, and effectiveness of the food and beverage outlets. This role is vital in managing front-of-house F&B operations, including several establishments such as Desire Oyster Bar, Jazz Playhouse, LeBooze, PJ’s Coffee Café, Oasis Pool Bar, and In-Room Dining services. The manager ensures all service and sanitation standards meet stringent company policies to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction consistently. By monitoring F&B revenues and expenses, the manager works to align financial performance with monthly and yearly company goals.
Additionally, the Food and Beverage/Outlet Manager develops and implements policies and procedures, provides ongoing training and coaching to the team, and enforces disciplinary actions when necessary. With strong organizational skills, the manager effectively juggles multiple projects, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines while fostering a positive workplace attitude that promotes open communication, trust, and mutual respect. The role also involves planning and organizing special events and festivals to enhance the overall guest experience. Staffing responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating subordinate managers, supervisors, and employees within the F&B outlets. The manager is expected to lead by example, maintaining professional integrity, promoting company initiatives, and inspiring the team to uphold Sonesta’s core values and GUEST People Standards.
Certification requirements include a valid ServSafe Manager certification and a Louisiana Responsible Vendors License. Candidates should have a proven track record in delivering exceptional guest or client experiences, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and F&B Point of Sale systems like MICROS. The position demands availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical demands include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment is typically moderate to loud noise levels.
