Job Description

Starwood Hotels is a premier luxury hotel brand management company and an affiliate of the global private investment firm Starwood Capital Group. Founded in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht, Starwood Hotels has established itself as a mission-driven company that prioritizes the well-being of its team members, memorable guest experiences, community building with like-minded travelers, and environmental sustainability. The brand’s commitment to fostering a diverse, sustainable, and inclusive workforce fuels its reputation as a leader in luxury hospitality. Starwood’s purpose acts as a true north for its operations, guiding every decision and touching every aspect of the hotel experience.

Starwood Hotels is currently seeking a Beverage Manager to join its Food and Beverage Team, a vital part of the overall hotel operation. This role is designed for a passionate, methodical, and innovative leader who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where creativity and attention to detail are paramount. The Beverage Manager position offers an annualized salary ranging from $85,000 to $90,000, reflecting the stature of the role within Starwood’s luxury hospitality ecosystem.

The Beverage Manager will be entrusted with overseeing the cocktail restaurant and bar operations, emphasizing creative mixology and impeccable service. This role requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in luxury hospitality, including at least three years managing a cocktail bar or similar establishment. The ideal candidate is an insightful and innovative mixologist who stays updated on the latest trends in cocktails, beer, spirits, and wine, consistently bringing new and elegant beverage options to the guests.

Beyond creativity, the Beverage Manager must be skilled in operational excellence such as scheduling, labor cost minimization, inventory management, payroll, and cost control. Leadership qualities are essential, as the manager will train, motivate, and lead a dynamic team of engaged and driven individuals who are integral to achieving success. Being a relationship builder and an effective communicator is crucial, as is the ability to listen actively and provide a voice of reason.

The role demands flexibility, energy, dedication, and the willingness to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation, often requiring long hours. Strong organizational and technical skills are highly valued, along with the ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. The Beverage Manager’s contribution directly impacts the guests' experience, making every visit memorable through a blend of stellar service, elegant mixology, and operational effectiveness.

Starwood Hotels is committed to equal opportunity employment and strongly values diversity and inclusion. The company maintains an empowered culture that fosters sustainable growth while respecting the planet and its people. Candidates seeking special accommodations during the hiring process are encouraged to contact People Operations for assistance.

This is a unique opportunity to grow with one of the most innovative teams in luxury hospitality, where your creativity, leadership, and dedication will be recognized and rewarded at Starwood Hotels.
