Job Description
Ponte Vineyard Inn is a distinguished Four Diamond boutique hotel located in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. This carefully curated 90-room hotel is nestled amidst 300 acres of serene vineyards and rolling hills, offering guests an exquisite escape that blends luxury, comfort, and the charm of wine country living. Recognized for its commitment to hospitality excellence, the Inn strives to create unforgettable experiences through exemplary service, fine dining, and an impressive selection of wines. Each guest enjoys an environment where attention to detail, personalized care, and dedication to quality are paramount, positioning Ponte Vineyard Inn as a premier destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and refinement.
We are currently searching for a dedicated and experienced Hotel Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the front-of-house operations across multiple dining venues within the hotel, including our full-service restaurant, outdoor bar, full-service bar & restaurant, and a seasonal pool bar & café. The Hotel Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for ensuring that every dining experience is seamless, catering to guests' expectations of high-quality service while simultaneously driving operational efficiency and financial success.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $80,000, supplemented by a discretionary bonus based on key performance indicators (KPIs). The schedule typically covers Thursdays through Mondays, with required availability on weekends, holidays, and evenings to meet the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry.
As the leader of the Food & Beverage team, you will be entrusted with multiple areas of responsibility. Your duties will encompass financial management tasks such as budgeting, cost controls, and revenue optimization strategies tailored specifically to the food and beverage operations. You will be expected to balance maintaining the highest standards of service quality with the necessary control of labor, inventory, and equipment costs.
Leadership and team development are critical priorities in this role. You will recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team that shares the Inn's culture of hospitality excellence. Through regular evaluations, meetings, and continuous training programs, you will foster an environment where teamwork and professional development flourish.
Ensuring an exceptional guest experience is at the core of this role. You will oversee the quality and consistency of food and beverage offerings and engage directly with guests to provide attentive service, resolve concerns professionally, and maintain clear and effective communication with vendors, other departments, and hotel leadership.
Maintaining strict adherence to regulations and company standards is also essential. This includes enforcing sanitation protocols, alcohol awareness, safety measures, and environmental standards, ensuring the hotel's reputation for quality and integrity remains intact.
We seek candidates with over five years of recent experience in food and beverage management, demonstrated success in financial oversight including P&L management, superior leadership and communication skills, proficiency in software like Toast POS and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work varied schedules. Certifications such as Riverside County Food Handler's Manager and RBS (or willingness to obtain them) are required, along with physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ponte Vineyard Inn values integrity, respect, and exemplary service, and expects all staff to uphold these standards consistently.
