The Food & Beverage Expert role at Target encompasses a dynamic and multifaceted position within the Food & Beverage team. This team is responsible for ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for all guests by maintaining fresh, well-stocked, and accurately priced food products throughout the store. The expert in this role will develop a deep knowledge of food operations, inventory management, safety standards, and merchandising best practices. A typical day includes greeting guests warmly, providing detailed product information including storage tips and purchase recommendations, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational guidelines. The position requires a high level of customer service skills, the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and team members, and a commitment to upholding food safety protocols. This role also involves proactive problem solving, rotating stock efficiently, handling deliveries, and managing merchandising displays to optimize the guest shopping experience. Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle cash register operations as needed
Reliable and prompt attendance
Ability to climb ladders and repeatedly lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
Flexible work schedule including nights weekends and holidays
Ability to work in environments ranging from 34 degrees Fahrenheit to -10 degrees Fahrenheit
Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be present
Ability to remain mobile for the entire shift

Job Qualifications

At least 18 years of age or older
Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members

Job Duties

Deliver an exceptional guest experience providing a fresh and full shopping experience during all hours of operation
Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage standards
Execute food and beverage processes including food deliveries replenishment straightening merchandise in-stocks routines data accuracy culling rotation cleaning signing and organizing and storing reserve product
Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target's policies and procedures
Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
Work with vendors to set maintain and make planned changes to salesfloor merchandise displays and keep organized backroom space
Locate and identify damaged recalled or expired items and process according to Target's policies and procedures
