The Food & Beverage Director role at The Truth is integral to maintaining OVG's high standards in hospitality and guest satisfaction. This position holds the overall responsibility for managing all food and beverage operations within the venue, including bars, concessions, premium hospitality areas, catering, and special events. Reporting to venue leadership, the Food & Beverage Director ensures operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, and full compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. With a hands-on leadership style, this role requires managing daily operations with a focus on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The Food & Beverage Director will lead front-of-house and bar staff, oversee staff recruitment, hiring, training, and retention, and foster a positive, professional, and guest-centered culture. They will implement strategic financial management by monitoring budgets, labor costs, sales, and profitability, while developing innovative approaches to maximize revenue and efficiency. Strong vendor and inventory management skills are essential for negotiating purchasing agreements and maintaining adequate product levels, minimizing waste, and controlling costs. Commitment to safety and compliance is paramount, as the Director will ensure all operations adhere to federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, responsible alcohol service, cash handling, and loss prevention procedures.

The position is bonus eligible and offers an annual salary between $95,000 and $115,000. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive food and beverage management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and financial management
  • Experience managing large-scale hospitality operations preferred
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with POS and inventory software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift occasionally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, noisy, and variable environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive food and beverage management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple outlets, venues, or large-scale hospitality operations
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, inventory management, labor management, and financial reporting
  • Experience managing high-volume bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, stadiums, or event-based operations preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects occasionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Job Duties

  • Oversee all daily food and beverage operations including bars, concessions, premium hospitality areas, catering, and special events
  • Lead, coach, and develop management and hourly staff to ensure consistent service standards and operational excellence
  • Establish and maintain a positive, professional, and guest-focused culture
  • Ensure all food and beverage operations are executed efficiently and in accordance with company standards
  • Provide visible leadership during events and peak operating periods
  • Resolve guest concerns and service issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage departmental budgets, revenue goals, labor costs, and operating expenses
