Job Description

The role being offered is a full-time Food and Beverage Manager position at the amusement park. Positioned at the management level, this role requires an individual capable of overseeing various food and beverage operations within the park with limited supervision. The manager is responsible for directing operations across a range of facilities, ensuring that each outlet meets quality and service standards, as well as financial targets. This includes supervising seasonal staff, coordinating training and schedule assignments, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves working diverse shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
The Food and Beverage Manager plays a critical role in achieving departmental service goals, managing budgets, and controlling costs related to food production and labor. They also address guest concerns, implement improvements in quality control, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards such as those mandated by North Carolina and South Carolina health codes. Strong organizational and analytical skills are required to evaluate operational performance and make timely adjustments that enhance profitability and guest satisfaction. The position demands proficiency in inventory management, financial analysis, and effective leadership to inspire a team of seasonal associates.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the role involves administrative duties including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and communication of operational status to senior management. The role also includes opportunities to influence menu development, labor and food cost controls, and to drive sales through upselling and service initiatives.

Job Requirements
- education equivalent to high school diploma or higher
- 3-5 years of food and beverage management experience preferably in an amusement park or sports venue
- ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- must possess a valid driver’s license
- ability to pass mandatory or random drug tests
- ability to pass background checks including criminal, credit, DMV, employment and education
- ServSafe certification required
- strong organizational and communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- commitment to guest service and safety
- capability to manage and supervise seasonal associates
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of themed amusement park or sports venue experience
- exhibits a positive and involved team attitude
- demonstrated food service acumen including institutional food service experience, knowledge of food production, sanitation, and supervision
- strong organizational and financial analysis skills including basic accounting
- knowledge of North Carolina and South Carolina health and safety codes
- ServSafe certified, instructor certification preferred
- ability to positively impact sales through upselling and service initiatives
- strong inventory management and food ordering experience
- knowledge of all aspects of food operation, service, and quality including menu development, labor and food cost controls
- excellent management and training skills
- understanding of federal, state and local labor laws
- proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Job Duties
- Ensure all duties in assigned locations are performed in a safe manner
- take actions to ensure food quality guidelines are met
- monitor guest service and financial performance of assigned locations and adjust operations to ensure financial targets are achieved including revenue, cost of sales and seasonal labor expenses
- supervise seasonal staff including training, assigning, reviewing, planning, establishing and maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, conducting performance appraisals and recommending or approving promotions and disciplinary actions
- manage compliance with all local, state and federal laws and implement quality control standards including quarterly inspections
- review department policies and procedures and recommend improvements to service and efficiency
- communicate operational issues, associate concerns, guest complaints and special requests to ensure maximum quality and operational needs are met
- adhere to and enforce all company policies and demonstrate a commitment to guest service
- perform other duties as assigned
