The role of Busser at SA Hospitality Group is vital in ensuring that guests receive the highest quality service in a timely and professional manner. This position plays a supportive role to servers and management in delivering a seamless and comfortable dining experience. As a Busser, the candidate will be responsible for setting up tables with all necessary items such as condiments and candles, maintaining station cleanliness, and ensuring that bread warmers and water supplies are fully stocked throughout service. The ability to work quickly and efficiently is essential, as the position requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and hospitality cues. The Busser also has responsibilities for clearing tables between courses and resetting them for incoming guests, which demands physical endurance and agility.

Job Duties

  • Setting up tables with the appropriate mis en place including ketchup, salt, pepper, HP sauce, and sugar bowl
  • making sure all stations are fully stocked and ready for service
  • maintaining stations fully during service
  • setting up candles on the tables
  • detailing all tables before the start of service to ensure place settings are neat and organized
  • delivering bread and water to all tables in their assigned section and assisting other sections when necessary
  • making sure the bread warmer is always organized and full
  • clearing tables between each course
  • clearing and re-setting tables for new guests
  • completing assigned side work before and after service
  • performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
