The Floor Host position at Opensity Solutions is an integral role focused on creating a seamless, hospitality-based experience for office guests and visitors. This on-floor support professional acts as the essential point of contact responsible for guiding clients and visitors to the appropriate resources, answering their questions, and providing real-time assistance. The role emphasizes excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure a comfortable and well-organized office environment.

As a Floor Host, you will be pivotal in managing meeting logistics, collaborating closely with meeting organizers, confirming room requirements, and anticipating client needs before and during meetings. This involves verifying technological setups, regulating room conditions such as lighting and temperature, and addressing any ad hoc requests promptly. With a strong focus on maintaining an optimal environment, the Floor Host regularly inspects meeting spaces, reclaims unused rooms, and ensures that client expectations are fully satisfied to enhance productivity and satisfaction.

Additionally, the role supports the client’s hoteling culture, helping guests and visitors find suitable workspaces and facilitating the efficient use of meeting rooms. The Floor Host monitors participant arrivals and departures to maximize space utilization and collaborates with facility maintenance to keep the workspace pristine and operational. This dynamic position demands a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment where priorities constantly shift.

Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience working in service industry such as hotel and restaurant, hospitality or event planning preferred
  • strong technical skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Google docs, audio/visual equipment
  • able to stand for long periods of time
  • works well in a fast-paced environment
  • good listening and professional demeanor
  • able to navigate clients of every professional level
  • maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • provide real-time support for meetings on all office floors

  • perform continuous floor tours to ensure optimal appearance and condition
  • utilize tools to identify solutions and anticipate customer needs
  • advocate for client hoteling culture by supporting guests securing workspace
  • verify occupancy and reclaim unused meeting space
  • monitor meeting rooms for participant timing and attendance
  • work with facility maintenance to report and resolve space issues
  • provide contact card for in-meeting support and reset room after use
