Baptist Health stands as the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region, boasting a robust network that encompasses 12 hospitals, more than 29,000 employees, 4,500 physicians, and an extensive array of 200 outpatient centers, urgent care facilities, and physician practices that serve Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. This expansive health system is renowned for its specialized centers of excellence, which provide prestigious and advanced care in areas such as cancer treatment, cardiovascular health, orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as neurosciences. As a faith-based organization driven by its mission of medical excellence, Baptist Health enjoys a strong foundation supported by philanthropy and is recognized for its commitment to high standards of patient care and innovation. For the past 26 years, Baptist Health has been honored as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For, reflecting its dedication to creating a supportive and enriching workplace environment. In the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings, Baptist Health was the most awarded healthcare system in South Florida, earning 63 high-performing honors that attest to its outstanding clinical quality and patient outcomes.

What truly differentiates Baptist Health is its people. The organization fosters a culture where personal connections among colleagues transcend the workplace and meaningful relationships with patients and their families extend beyond the delivery of care. Many team members share firsthand experiences as patients themselves, which fuels their commitment to compassionate and quality healthcare services. This empathetic culture is rooted in a strong sense of purpose, where every member of the team plays a vital role in making a positive impact—because when it comes to caring for people, Baptist Health is all in.

The role available at Baptist Health is focused on overseeing and supporting the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals, ensuring all department goals and objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively. This is a vital position within the organization, as it directly impacts patient satisfaction and overall hospital experience. The food production process in this role requires adherence to standardized recipes, daily production charts, and clear instructions to maintain consistency and quality across all meals. The role demands strict compliance with food service requirements, including specifications concerning quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness, all while following HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures to guarantee food safety.

Employees in this role utilize various standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and precise measuring devices accurately to ensure meals meet hospital standards and patient needs. This position offers an estimated hourly pay range from $18.32 to $23.26, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, making it a competitive opportunity within the healthcare food service industry. Baptist Health’s commitment to employee support is reflected in its 'grow our own' philosophy which encourages career development through ongoing education, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive health and wellness programs. If you are passionate about contributing to a compassionate healthcare environment and possess a dedication to food safety and quality, this role offers a meaningful chance to be part of an award-winning team dedicated to excellence in patient care and workplace culture.
