The Food Service Worker position at Baptist Health plays an integral role in supporting the preparation and production of meals for patients and guests. This role demands adherence to quality, nutritional, and safety standards while meeting department goals and objectives. The Food Service Worker follows standardized recipes, daily production charts, and clear instructions to ensure meals are produced in the right quantity, appearance, and temperature, and served in a timely manner. Compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures is mandatory, ensuring the safety and sanitation of food preparation. The position requires proficiency in using standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately.

The estimated pay range for the Food Service Worker position is $18.30 - $18.32 per hour depending on experience. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards of Baptist Health’s food services to guarantee patient satisfaction and nutritional wellness. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent such as GED
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in food preparation or service
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and production charts accurately
  • Understanding of HACCP procedures and food safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to use standard food preparation equipment and measuring devices properly
  • Food Safety Certification required within 6 months of hire

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate such as GED
  • Knowledge of principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1 year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
  • Food Safety Certification obtained within 6 months of hire
