The role offered by Baptist Health is for overseeing and supporting the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals. This critical position ensures that all departmental goals and objectives regarding nutrition, quality, quantity, delivery timeliness, appearance, and temperature are consistently met. The individual in this role will follow standardized recipes, production charts, and detailed instructions to maintain high standards aligned with health and safety regulations. Adherence to HACCP procedures and proper usage of food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices is mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Food Safety Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety in food handling
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use standard food preparation equipment and utensils

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety principles in food handling and equipment
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least 1 year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
  • Food Safety Certification required within 6 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversee and support the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
  • Ensure department goals and objectives are met
  • Follow standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
  • Ensure food is produced according to food service requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness
  • Follow HACCP procedures
