The Server Assistant role at Ocean is essential in supporting the food servers to provide timely and courteous service to members and their guests. The Server Assistant works alongside the a la carte and banquet servers to prepare service stations, assist in delivering food and beverages, clear and reset tables, and maintain cleanliness throughout the dining and patio areas. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain or enhance their experience in restaurant service, offering hands-on involvement in various aspects of dining room operations. Responsibilities include ensuring all service stations are well-stocked and ready, serving water, bread, and salsa to guests upon seating, and helping to maintain a welcoming environment by promptly clearing tables and restocking linens and supplies.

This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to move quickly and efficiently with purpose throughout the dining room. The Server Assistant must coordinate closely with servers to carry food to tables accurately based on ticket seat positions and ensure tables are properly set with silverware, glassware, and other necessary items. Polishing silverware before and after shifts and maintaining cleanliness at all times are also important tasks in this role.
