THE RANCH Restaurant is a Michelin Guide-listed award-winning independent dining establishment located in the heart of Anaheim, California. THE RANCH is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Fine Dining Pastry Cook to join its culinary team. This position is ideal for a dedicated pastry professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and has a solid foundation in fine dining techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing a range of exquisite pastry items, including plated desserts, artisan breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, and other specialty items that contribute to the elevated guest experience. This role requires full availability, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the dynamic needs of the restaurant, saloon, and event center.
The Fine Dining Pastry Cook will play a critical role in daily pastry production that supports multiple facets of THE RANCH’s culinary program. By following established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization within the pastry station, and collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on prep lists, menu changes, and seasonal production, this role ensures consistency and craftsmanship in every item served. Handling ingredients with care and adhering to food safety regulations are essential components of this position, as is safely operating pastry equipment and communicating effectively within the team. Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of pastry experience in a fine dining or high volume culinary environment
- Strong foundational pastry skills and familiarity with fine dining plating standards
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Culinary education or pastry apprenticeship a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
- Clear communication skills and a professional, dependable work ethic
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to perform under pressure
- Full availability including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and execute fine dining pastry items including plated desserts, artisan breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, amenities, and specialty items
- Follow established recipes and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
- Assist with daily production for restaurant service, saloon offerings, catering, and special events
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and mise en place in the pastry station
- Support the Executive Chef and culinary leadership with prep lists, menu changes, and seasonal production needs
- Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients according to food safety standards
- Operate pastry equipment safely and report any maintenance needs
- Contribute to a positive, team oriented kitchen environment
