Job Description

With over 9 million clients and a network of 20,000 financial advisors throughout the U.S. and Canada, Edward Jones operates as a privately-owned firm, prioritizing client interests over shareholder returns. This approach shapes a client-first business model that promotes long-term relationships and personalized financial strategies. The organization is firmly rooted in its purpose: to partner for positive impact, improving the lives of clients and colleagues while contributing meaningfully to communities and society. Edward Jones fosters an innovative, flexible, and inclusive culture that inspires excellence and a sense of belonging. Associates at Edward Jones feel valued, respected, supported, and heard, making it an ideal place for individuals looking to start or advance their careers in financial services.

The role of Financial Advisor at Edward Jones is an excellent opportunity for individuals at a professional crossroads seeking a meaningful and rewarding career change. As a financial advisor, you will partner closely with clients, helping them achieve long-term financial objectives such as retirement planning, wealth building, estate strategies, and funding education. Supported by a branch team, a home-office team, and regional financial advisors, you will have access to a wealth of experience and resources from a company with a century of history and the largest footprint in the U.S. and Canada. This position offers paid training to achieve necessary registrations and licensing, a salary for the first five years, and an organized branch office environment that supports your growth and success. You will enjoy a compensation program that combines commissions, profit sharing, and incentive travel with the flexibility to balance your personal and professional life. Edward Jones values diversity and inclusion, benefiting from a broad range of experiences and viewpoints to deliver exceptional client outcomes and a positive workplace environment.

As a Financial Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner and leader, understanding your clients' needs deeply and creating customized, comprehensive strategies to help them reach their goals. You will oversee daily branch operations while fostering a culture of mutual respect, trust, and accountability among your team. This role offers the chance to build your own practice, develop strong community ties, and make a significant impact on both your clients' lives and your local area. Whether utilizing face-to-face or virtual sourcing methods, you will be instrumental in bringing new clients to the firm and deepening existing relationships. Success in this role requires ambition, self-motivation, and a commitment to building lasting partnerships with clients. Ultimately, your growth and earning potential are directly linked to your performance and dedication to the role.
