Job Description
Edward Jones is a renowned financial services firm and a Fortune 500 company recognized for putting people first. With a proud history spanning over 100 years, Edward Jones is privately owned and serves more than 9 million clients with a strong network of 20,000 financial advisors across the United States and Canada. The firm has more offices in these regions than any other investment firm, underscoring its expansive presence and commitment to local community engagement. Edward Jones emphasizes a client-first philosophy that prioritizes long-term relationships, ethical guidance, and comprehensive wealth management strategies rather than shareholder returns. Their core purpose is to partner for positive impact — not only improving the financial lives of clients but also fostering a workplace where colleagues feel supported and inspired. The company has been recognized repeatedly for its excellence in training, workplace inclusivity, and community impact.
This financial advisor role at Edward Jones is an excellent opportunity for individuals at a professional crossroads who wish to build or advance a rewarding career in financial services. The role involves partnering directly with clients to help them achieve their long-term financial objectives such as retirement planning, wealth building, estate strategies, and funding education. Financial advisors at Edward Jones develop and grow their own practices, supported by a comprehensive network that includes branch teams, home office professionals, and regional advisors. The firm provides a fully supported business environment, including firm-provided branch offices, branch office support, and extensive training designed to ensure successful client outcomes and advisor growth.
New financial advisors benefit from a robust compensation program that features paid training, a supplemental salary for the initial five years, commissions, profit sharing, and incentive travel opportunities. The compensation package aligns with the effort and results attained by the advisor, meaning there is no cap on earning potential. Advisors enjoy work-life flexibility, continuous professional development, and the ability to independently manage their practices while having the backing of a large support network. The position requires obtaining necessary financial licenses such as the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66. Edward Jones is committed to inclusivity and diversity, ensuring all associates feel valued and supported in a culture driven by mutual respect, feedback, and accountability. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who have a passion for financial markets, enjoy relationship-building, and aspire to make a meaningful difference in their communities through financial empowerment. Supplemental starting salary ranges from $45,000 to $100,000, reflecting the company’s support during the initial stages of practice development.
