The Finance Director - Operations role at Kemin is a critical senior leadership position that acts as the primary financial partner for the global Operations group. This role is designed not only to oversee traditional financial management but also to dive deeply into operational accounting and cost structures. The Finance Director is expected to transform complex financial data into actionable insights for business unit leaders, driving forward initiatives related to efficiency improvements and cost savings in close partnership with the Operations team. Positioned specifically to influence and collaborate across various business units without assuming direct hierarchical authority, this role embodies a unique mix of technical expertise and executive presence. The Finance Director will lead both formally and through dotted-line accountability, managing finance personnel embedded within operations worldwide.

This full-time position, highly preferred to be onsite at Kemin's Des Moines Headquarters, requires the individual to balance working closely with operational teams to develop financial models, rigor in financial governance, and support for cost accounting and performance management. The role demands hands-on engagement with budgeting, forecasting, capital project financial evaluation, and performance analytics. Furthermore, the Finance Director will take on responsibilities to ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and internal accounting standards, enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of operational financial reporting. This leadership role also involves direct team management and development, fostering a collaborative culture while maintaining financial control and supporting business unit leaders with vital financial knowledge.
