The Fieldwork Brewing Associate role in Napa is a part-time, non-exempt position uniquely crafted for hospitality enthusiasts who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments. This hands-on role blends front-of-house guest engagement with active food service participation. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, managing food and beverage delivery, handling payments through the POS system, and ensuring the space remains clean and welcoming. Additionally, associates participate directly in food preparation aligning with company standards, which highlights the significance of multitasking and adaptability.

A deep knowledge of the company’s current beer selections, food menu, and non-alcoholic options including detailed awareness of ingredients and allergens, is essential. Furthermore, associates are expected to educate guests on beer styles, suggest food pairings, and comply fully with alcohol service laws such as the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and ABC regulations. Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and health compliance is mandatory. The role also demands a professional, positive demeanor when interacting with guests, coworkers, and management, alongside flexibility in scheduling including availability on weekends and holidays.

Compensation for this part-time position includes an hourly wage of $16.90 with additional income from tips via a shared tip pool.
