The role of Field Safety Representative II is critical in upholding Baker Construction’s Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. This position is designed to ensure that every co-worker returns home safely each day by dedicating 100% of their time to field operations. The Field Safety Representative II works diligently in the field to observe and coach personnel towards correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors. This hands-on role is vital to embedding a culture of safety within project teams, improving not only safety but also quality and productivity. The incumbent may supervise lower-level safety staff, reinforcing positive safety behaviors through recognition and rewards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field
- Minimum of 2 years of concrete construction and safety experience or equivalent education and experience
- Must obtain OSHA 30 hour certification within 3 months
- Ability to work 25% travel
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related major
- Minimum of 2 years of concrete construction and safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Competency in safety observation and coaching
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to mentor and supervise lower-level safety personnel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Promote the company’s IIF culture by being a safety resource on the project
- Assist in project compliance with all safety rules and regulations
- Assist with or conduct case management
- Ensure a safe work environment
- Participate in training/certifications
- Observe and coach co-workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Reinforce positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards
