The position of Field Operations Manager based in the Worcester, MA area offers an exciting opportunity for professionals interested in leading a dynamic team within this well-established company. This role is field-based and involves managing a team of 8 to 10 Service Specialists responsible for pest detection, elimination, and prevention services across various commercial establishments. As Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring service excellence and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, managing district initial services, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and pursuing strategic sales opportunities. The role demands a proactive leader committed to customer retention, team development, and operational efficiency.
This position offers a competitive total compensation package ranging from $77,900 to $117,000 annually, including base pay and a performance-based incentive plan. The Field Operations Manager role operates primarily during the day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM Monday through Sunday, requiring flexibility for occasional overnight shifts as needed. The position also involves travel within the Worcester-Springfield, MA, and Burlington, VT areas. Safety is a core value at Ecolab, and this role involves championing safety practices and ensuring the team upholds the highest standards. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various environmental conditions, and use of protective equipment such as respirators. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of field support or service-related industry experience
- Ability to work overnight shifts as needed
- Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Background check clearance
- Drug test including THC clearance
- No immigration sponsorship available
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds chest high
- Ability to wear and use a respirator
- Ability to work in various conditions including confined spaces, damp, dusty, freezing and hot environments
- Essential physical activities such as lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearing
- Eligible to drive a company vehicle after motor vehicle record checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of field support or service-related industry experience
- Ability to work overnight shifts as needed
- Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Experience in hiring, assessing, and developing team members
- Proven record of meeting customer needs and quality service delivery
- Exceptional communication and organization skills
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in value added sales and/or new account generation
- Prior budget and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years supervisory or team leadership experience in field support or service-related industry preferred
Job Duties
- Lead a team of 8-10 Service Specialists responsible for day and night route management while ensuring service excellence and compliance with applicable regulations and laws
- Take an active role in hiring, assessing, and developing associates to become the next leaders at Ecolab while emphasizing customer retention, growing existing accounts and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ensure your team of service specialists achieves their financial and service delivery goals
- Pursue sales and new business opportunities
- Coordinate initial services and maintain inventory and perform quality assurance visits
- Build and maintain customer relationships within the market
- Be a champion of safety and ensure your team upholds strong safety practices and values
