Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leader in the fast-casual dining industry, known for its dedication to serving responsibly sourced, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Chipotle has redefined the traditional fast food experience by focusing on quality, sustainability, and transparency, positioning itself as a pioneer in the industry. With restaurants located throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is the only restaurant company of its size to own and operate all its North American and European locations. This unique approach allows Chipotle to maintain a consistent standard of excellence and fosters a strong connection with local communities.

With a passionate team focused on providing exceptional guest experiences, Chipotle continues to innovate through digital enhancements, technology integration, and sustainable business practices. They embrace a values-driven, people-first philosophy that makes the brand a standout among competitors. Chipotle is committed to creating a workplace that respects diversity and equity, ensuring all employees have opportunities to develop their full potential. Additionally, the company fosters an inclusive culture that supports individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.

The role of Field Leader at Chipotle offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company, as they open a new restaurant every two days. Field Leaders play a critical role in overseeing multiple restaurant locations, managing operations, and building strong partnerships with restaurant managers. The role demands business acumen, including profit and loss management, food safety, sales forecasting, and staffing, all essential for running successful operations efficiently.

As a Field Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that Chipotle’s high standards for food safety and guest experience are consistently met across locations. Training and validating employees on operational best practices will be a major component, alongside fostering a culture that emphasizes food safety first. Leadership through team development and empowerment is highly valued, with a focus on passing down skills and knowledge to restaurant managers to promote growth and excellence throughout the organization.

The position provides ample opportunities for career progression, supported by company-sponsored tuition assistance for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year. Employees benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and quarterly bonuses that reward both performance and people development. Additionally, the company offers paid time off, holiday closures, and transportation support via company cars or mileage reimbursement. These benefits reflect Chipotle’s commitment to supporting their leaders personally and professionally, making this role attractive to candidates who want to grow in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.

Chipotle’s commitment to cultivating a better world extends beyond food to fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace where every voice counts. They encourage individuals with disabilities to apply and provide reasonable accommodations during the hiring process, emphasizing their dedication to equity and accessibility.

This Field Leader role is ideally suited for individuals with previous multi-unit restaurant experience who thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth setting. Candidates should embody a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, a deep passion for developing teams, and a laser-like focus on delivering top-tier guest experiences. Effective communication skills in the primary language(s) of the work location are also required.
