The role involves operating cash registers efficiently and accurately, handling money securely, and balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts. This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting and moving supplies up to 40 pounds, and performing duties in a climate-controlled and variable temperature environment that the kitchen setting demands. Job Requirements
- Completion of high school or G.E.D.
- previous cashier experience preferred
- ability to stand for 4-6 hours during shifts
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds to waist height
- ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and reaching
- ability to operate cash register and handle money accurately
- ability to communicate verbally and listen attentively
- ability to work in climate-controlled and variable temperature kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Completion of high school or G.E.D.
- previous cashier experience strongly desired
- some experience (0-3 months) in food service environment desirable
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- effective interaction with guests, trainees, and employees in a courteous, professional manner
Job Duties
- Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment
- promptly acknowledge guests, trainees, and employees in a courteous and professional manner
- respond to and resolve guests' questions and complaints promptly
- meet or exceed Food Service Management Team expectations for accurate and timely completion of tasks
- operate cash register accurately and efficiently to prevent delays
- secure, monitor, and balance register money according to procedures
- transport cash to Cash Control in an accurate and timely manner
