The Food and Beverage Manager position at Boyd Gaming plays a crucial role in maintaining and elevating the standards of the food and beverage outlets within the company's casino properties. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned food and beverage outlets and managing personnel to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. The manager ensures compliance with established service standards while guaranteeing that guests receive prompt, courteous, and high-quality service. Continuous monitoring and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and all applicable safety and health regulations are critical aspects of this role.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Food and Beverage Manager takes charge of personnel-related functions such as interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, promoting, counseling, and discharging employees as necessary. This role also includes resolving guest complaints effectively and promptly, ensuring an excellent customer experience consistently. Financial oversight is a key component of the job, where the manager assists the director in meeting budget goals and monitors costs and labor associated with the assigned outlets. Representing the Food and Beverage Department in various internal and external employee matters requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Job Duties
- Monitor and oversee the operation of assigned outlets to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, procedures and all Federal, State and local liquor, health and safety regulations
- Responsible for personnel-related matters including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, promoting, counseling, and discharging
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to customers
- resolve guest complaints in an appropriate and timely manner
- Assist the Director with budget goals and objectives and monitor financial aspects of the department
- Represent the Food and Beverage Department in internal and external employee related matters
