The Alibi Lounge is part of a larger hotel establishment operating within the hospitality industry. As a well-established and vibrant lounge situated inside a dynamic hotel environment, it serves a diverse customer base including hotel guests and local visitors. The hotel operates around the clock, providing service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which necessitates a flexible and dedicated management approach to meet fluctuating operational demands and maintain continuous top-quality service standards. The ambiance, customer experience, and service efficiency are all critical factors for its success, making it paramount that the Alibi Lounge Manager possesses strong leadership, management skills, and an in-depth understanding of food and beverage operations along with exceptional customer service skills.

The role of the Alibi Lounge Manager is designed to oversee and control all aspects of the lounge operations to ensure that each guest’s experience is nothing short of outstanding. This managerial position is responsible for maintaining high standards of service, ensuring compliance with food and beverage regulations, and driving the department’s financial performance through prudent cost control and robust promotional strategies. The manager's duties include engaging directly with guests to foster a welcoming, guest-friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest personally, and ensuring that the staff adheres to comprehensive service techniques and brand standards.

Additionally, the Lounge Manager is accountable for supervising the team, resolving customer inquiries proficiently, managing scheduling and payroll, and maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness to comply with company policies. This role also requires the management of inventory levels, ordering supplies, overseeing equipment maintenance, and coordinating promotional events. The succeed in this position, knowledge of law and regulations concerning the serving of alcoholic beverages, along with experience in operating bar equipment and point of sale systems, is essential.

This is a leadership role within a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, demanding the ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to variable shifts. The Alibi Lounge Manager also acts as a liaison between the front and back of house to ensure smooth and efficient service flow. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years food and beverage or hotel experience in a leadership role
  • ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
  • physical ability to transport up to 30 lbs through a crowded room continuously
  • constant standing and walking required
  • frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and walking required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years food and beverage or hotel experience in a leadership role
  • thorough knowledge of food outlet operations including food and beverage, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
  • knowledge of all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
  • ability to operate equipment such as bar taps, slush machines, and dishwashers

Job Duties

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment including greeting and acknowledging every guest
  • maintain outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all components of guest service
  • maintain a favorable working relationship with all company associates to promote a positive working environment
  • attend BEO, staff, and department meetings
  • analyze and monitor day-to-day operation reports, monthly and yearly financial statements, and labor costs
  • perform special projects as assigned by GM and/or F&B Director
  • handle planning and execution of hotel sponsored events
  • taste food and beverage products to ensure quality and consistency
  • market ideas and promotions in the department
  • monitor F&B POS systems and report discrepancies or outages
  • support entire food and beverage operation including supervising other areas, handling special projects, running promotions
  • effectively control the flow of customers and interaction between front and back of house throughout service
  • ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies, and stocking shelves
  • ensure maintenance of equipment by calling for repairs and training staff on proper use
  • ensure team members maintain brand standards and high levels of customer service
  • handle all customer inquiries in an appropriate and professional manner
  • maintain outlet scheduling and payroll
  • organize and conduct pre-shift meetings communicating pertinent information such as house count, daily specials, service training, and menu changes
  • ensure cleanliness and workplace safety in the department
  • adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • follow safety rules and procedures
  • know property emergency response procedures and equipment
  • perform any related duties as requested by manager
