The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager role at Loews Miami Beach Hotel is a vital leadership position responsible for assisting the Director of Food and Beverage in managing all aspects of the resort's diverse dining outlets. Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree or higher in hospitality or food service management
  • Minimum two years management experience in hotel or quality food service operation
  • Certification as Food Service Manager or willingness to obtain
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain outlet staffing levels for optimal performance
  • Represent the Director of Food and Beverage in their absence
  • Ensure adherence to departmental and hotel policies
  • Oversee smooth and cost-effective outlet operations including labor management and inventory control
  • Supervise outlet activities to ensure quality production and delivery of product and service
  • Interact frequently with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare storeroom requisitions and manage daily labor costs
  • Communicate with culinary team regarding reservations and VIP guests
  • Interview, train, appraise, coach, counsel, and discipline staff
  • Follow New Hire Training and Star Service Competency program
  • Evaluate employee performance and training needs
  • Attend hotel and departmental meetings
  • Evaluate guest needs to recommend operational changes
  • Be visible and engaged on the restaurant floor during peak times
  • Perform other assigned duties
  • Promote teamwork at all times
  • Notify management promptly of any issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and equipment condition
  • Execute emergency procedures
