Co-founded by L.S. "Sam" Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen, U-Haul has grown into a respected brand known for its customer-centric approach, innovative solutions, and commitment to quality service. With decades of experience, U-Haul continues to serve millions of customers with a broad network of facilities and a variety of moving and storage solutions. The company emphasizes a culture of health and wellness and promotes a supportive work environment that values its team members. The job entails some physical exertion, with employees occasionally required to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
U-Haul offers extensive benefits to its Facility Housekeepers, such as health insurance, dental and vision plans, life insurance, legal benefits through the MetLaw program, and discounts on several products and services, including technology and travel. Employees also enjoy paid holidays, vacation, and sick days once eligible, along with options like 401k plans, stock options, and subsidized gym memberships. This comprehensive benefits package highlights U-Haul’s dedication to the well-being and satisfaction of its team members. Additionally, U-Haul provides support through the YouMatter Employee Assistance Program and specialized insurances such as LifeLock identity theft protection and critical illness coverage.
