Job Description
Uline is a family-owned company and North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials, proudly employing over 9,800 team members across 14 locations. Founded on a commitment to quality and customer service, Uline has built a reputation for reliability and excellence over its 45+ years of successful operations. The company operates from its corporate headquarters located at 12575 Uline Drive, Pleasant Prairie, WI, where it manages a growing footprint of first-class facilities designed to support a thriving work environment. Uline's corporate culture is deeply rooted in providing stability, career growth opportunities, and a supportive workplace that values the contributions of every employee. Uline is also a drug-free workplace, with all new hires required to complete a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening. This role is strictly on-site and embraces equal employment opportunities for all, including veterans and disabled individuals.
The Facilities Specialist role at Uline's corporate headquarters is an essential position focused on maintaining and enhancing the physical work environment to ensure it remains clean, safe, and inviting. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the upkeep and improvement of one of the company’s valued assets — its buildings and facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in general building maintenance, custodial work, construction, or carpentry and must be comfortable working with various hand and power tools.
As a Facilities Specialist, your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance and repairs such as drywall patching, painting, door and lock repairs, and restroom upkeep. You will also play a key role in event support, assisting with the setup and teardown of company events to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Installation and reconfiguration of modular workstations and office setups will be part of your day-to-day tasks, helping to create workspaces tailored to the needs of employees. The role also involves installing interior artwork and occasionally assisting other facilities teams to support broader maintenance initiatives.
Uline offers an outstanding benefits package that supports employee well-being and professional development. This includes complete health insurance coverage starting from day one, a 401(k) plan with a 6% employer match, multiple bonus programs, generous paid holidays and time off, and a Tuition Assistance Program to help cover the costs of continuing education. The work environment is enhanced by employee perks such as an on-site café, a state-of-the-art fitness center with complimentary personal trainers, and over four miles of maintained walking trails, encouraging a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Joining Uline as a Facilities Specialist means becoming part of a team that values dedication, skill, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of facility care. The role is critical to Uline's ability to provide excellent work environments that foster productivity and employee satisfaction. Candidates can look forward to a stable employment opportunity with chances to develop their skills and grow within the company. Uline's dedication to equal employment opportunity and its supportive workplace culture ensures a welcoming environment for all qualified applicants.
