The role of Facilities Engineering Lead is a vital position within this dynamic organization. The Facilities Engineering Lead is charged with overseeing and providing hands-on support for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all key equipment across the facility. This includes managing the specialized systems unique to the Bathhouse such as saunas, steam rooms, and thermal pools, as well as the innovative heat distribution infrastructure for Bitcoin mining operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and project management, complemented by a proactive approach to team leadership. This role involves organizing and executing complex maintenance schedules, overseeing subcontractor work, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting operational issues, and enforcing safety and sanitation protocols to ensure an exceptional environment for guests and staff alike.

Compensation for this full-time position ranges between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, reflecting the high level of expertise and responsibility required. The Facilities Engineering Lead is expected to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, balancing a multitude of maintenance projects while fostering effective communication among internal teams and external partners. Job Requirements

  • Trades certification required such as plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing facility operations
  • Knowledge of spa and pool equipment maintenance
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling
  • Ability to manage budgets and contractual obligations
  • Working knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks

Job Qualifications

  • A trades certification such as plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or other relevant certificates
  • A bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Construction Project Management is a plus
  • 5-7 years of relevant leadership experience in a high-volume environment
  • Working knowledge of spa and pool equipment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • In-depth understanding of facilities maintenance and knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Certifications such as Certified Pool Operator, CPR, and First Aid are a plus
  • Open availability including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan, and execute maintenance work
  • Develop project schedules and direct long-term planning and execution
  • Develop and understand requirements of maintenance contracts and purchase orders
  • Create and maintain facility documents, manuals, and procedures
  • Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, internal stakeholders, and facilities team
  • Maintain strict control of project budgets and report weekly on progress and profitability
  • Manage and maintain the Bathhouse’s amenities, technical features, and back-of-house areas
  • Oversee and participate in the Preventive Maintenance program
  • Troubleshoot and develop long-term solutions for operational challenges
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitary protocols are maintained
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and reprioritize issues as needed to maintain guest experience
