At Uline's Wisconsin Distribution Center, the Facilities Lead position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the physical workspace. The Facilities Lead oversees facility operations for a specified building within the large network and ensures all maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, and security services meet the high standards set by Uline. This leadership role requires managing preventative maintenance, budgeting, and capital improvement projects to maintain operational efficiency and safety. The Facilities Lead also takes charge of scheduling, assigning, and performing various skilled trades tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. Additionally, the position involves responding promptly to emergency maintenance needs and assisting with construction project management.

Compensation for this position starts at $32 per hour and can increase up to $38 per hour, reflecting significant growth and earning potential tied to experience and performance. As a full-time, on-site role, the Facilities Lead is integral to the continued success and smooth operation of Uline's large distribution facility. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with MEP, landscaping, HVAC and electrical systems
  • Previous hands-on warehouse facilities management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead facility operations for assigned building among a network totaling over 800,000 square feet of workspace
  • Plan preventative maintenance, budgets, capital expenses and projects
  • Schedule, assign and perform projects including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC work
  • Ensure landscaping, janitorial and security services meet company standards
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues
  • Assist with construction project management
  • Record maintenance activities and prepare reports for management
