The Facilities Assistant position is located at the Wisconsin Distribution Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This role is essential to upholding the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of over 1.5 million square feet of warehouse and office space. The Facilities Assistant plays a crucial part in maintaining the warehouse’s infrastructure, landscaping, and interior environments to ensure they meet Uline’s high standards. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs such as drywall patching, painting, door and lock repair, and upkeep of warehouse equipment and restrooms. The role also involves installation and adjustment of modular workstations and office setups, as well as facilitating event setups and teardowns. Maintaining cleanliness of both the interior and exterior spaces, as well as operating utility vehicles, forklifts, and cargo vans, are important aspects of this position.
Candidates for the Facilities Assistant role should have experience working with hand and power tools and be capable of occasionally lifting or moving items weighing between 50 to 70 pounds. This position demands a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to assist other facilities teams as required to maintain smooth operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, janitorial, construction or carpentry
- Prior experience with hand and power tools
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 - 70 lbs
