Job Description

Henderson Sport & Social is a state-of-the-art, 180,000-square-foot premier sports and entertainment destination located in Henderson, Nevada. This expansive facility is uniquely designed to be a vibrant hub for youth and adult sports, recreation, fitness, dining, and family entertainment, while also serving as a vital gathering place for the local community. Henderson Sport & Social offers an extensive range of amenities including basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts, indoor turf fields, bowling lanes, a dual-level laser tag arena, Krazy Darts, miniature golf, arcade games, a full-service restaurant and bar, a fitness center, Child Watch services, and various flexible event spaces perfect for birthday parties, tournaments, corporate outings, and community celebrations. Managed by the reputable KemperSports, a leader in sports and recreational venue management, Henderson Sport & Social is committed to delivering exceptional experiences through its Core True Service philosophy. This philosophy emphasizes being genuine, helpful, and friendly; recognizing that service is a team sport; valuing every detail to the guest; prioritizing customer happiness; and accepting personal responsibility for one’s attitude.

The role of Expo (Expeditor) at Henderson Sport & Social is a pivotal part of the food and beverage operation, tasked with ensuring that every meal is coordinated flawlessly from the kitchen to the guest. As the final checkpoint before meals reach customers, the Expo oversees the presentation, timing, accuracy, and quality of dishes, ensuring each plate meets the highest standards set by the kitchen and service team. This position requires a dynamic individual who can manage the flow of food through the kitchen efficiently while maintaining high levels of communication with cooks, servers, bartenders, and food runners. The Expo is responsible for orchestrating the timing and release of orders so that food arrives at tables consistently and beautifully presented, enhancing each guest's dining experience.

Success in the Expo role is defined by several key outcomes: every dish leaving the kitchen must be accurate and appealing; food timing must be synchronized across all guests; communication between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff must be smooth and effective; remakes should be minimized through rigorous quality control; and the Expo must provide calm, organized leadership during both routine service times and peak hours. The Expo leads by example, upholding professionalism, accountability, and the Core True Service values that Henderson Sport & Social embodies. This hands-on leadership role also includes assisting with tasks such as food running, dessert plating, kitchen prep, and maintaining an immaculate, guest-ready expo station.

The position is part-time and non-exempt, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef. It requires flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Candidates for this role must be at least 18 years old, possess strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, and have the ability to maintain composure and decisiveness in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A positive attitude and passion for teamwork and hospitality are essential, along with the ability to obtain required certifications such as TAM and Food Service. Previous experience in a similar expo or kitchen role is preferred but not mandatory, as is familiarity with food safety practices, plating standards, and managing multiple tickets during busy service periods.

Physical demands of the job include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying items up to 30 pounds frequently, and occasionally moving items up to 50 pounds with assistance. The role also requires bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic kitchen environment. Professional appearance and behavior under pressure are expected. Henderson Sport & Social is committed to inclusivity and offers an empowering workplace where every team member is valued and supported to succeed.
