Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years of pastry kitchen experience
  • culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
  • knowledge of pastry techniques and kitchen equipment
  • ability to work under pressure
  • attention to detail
  • physical capability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • food safety knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen or culinary setting
  • culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
  • strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality and cleanliness
  • genuine passion for pastry arts and continuous learning
  • ability to handle physical demands including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges

Job Duties

  • prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods following recipes and guidelines set by the pastry chef
  • ensure all pastries and baked goods meet high standards of quality and presentation
  • assist in developing new pastry recipes and menu items
  • maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
  • monitor inventory and supplies ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, performing maintenance or reporting issues as needed
  • follow all food safety and sanitation procedures conducting regular cleaning and inspections
  • mentor and train junior pastry staff fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • participate in kitchen meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new techniques and standards
