The role of Experienced Pastry Cook at Black Desert Resort is an exciting opportunity for a skilled culinary professional passionate about the art of pastry making. As a key member of the kitchen staff, the individual in this position will be entrusted with preparing and crafting a wide variety of premium pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods that meet the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation. Reporting directly to the Pastry Chef, the experienced pastry cook will play a critical role in not only daily production but also in mentoring and guiding junior staff while contributing creatively to the development of innovative pastry recipes and menu items. This full-time, year-round position is located onsite at Black Desert Resort, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation of pastry techniques and culinary knowledge, with at least three years of professional kitchen experience. Job Duties

  • prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods following recipes and guidelines set by the pastry chef
  • ensure all pastries and baked goods meet high standards of quality and presentation
  • assist in developing new pastry recipes and menu items
  • maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
  • monitor inventory and supplies ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, performing maintenance or reporting issues as needed
  • follow all food safety and sanitation procedures conducting regular cleaning and inspections
  • mentor and train junior pastry staff fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • participate in kitchen meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new techniques and standards
