With a culture rooted in inclusivity, fun, and professional development, the casino offers countless opportunities for career advancement and personal fulfillment. The company is dedicated to fostering a work environment that prioritizes the well-being and growth of its employees, aiming to be the top entertainment hub in the region. Joining American Place Casino means becoming part of Lake County's fastest-growing industry, where passion for hospitality and excellence is celebrated.

The role of a Food Expeditor at American Place Casino, specifically for L’Américain, is critical in bridging the gap between the kitchen and front-of-house operations to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. The Food Expeditor plays a pivotal role in managing the flow and coordination of food orders, ensuring that each dish is delivered timely, accurately, and meets the highest quality standards. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual who thrives under pressure and can maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. The Food Expeditor must have a strong sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities include inspecting food orders for accuracy and presentation, assisting Food Runners with timely service, and maintaining a clean and food-safe work area. Additional duties involve setting up, stocking, and closing the expeditor line, as well as completing required health department logs related to food safety. The ideal candidate is expected to be a team player, a critical thinker with problem-solving abilities, and someone who values the spirit of hospitality by contributing to an outstanding guest experience through efficient and precise food service coordination.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $19.00 to $30.00 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with company match, educational tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and access to various employee assistance programs. The role demands physical endurance, including the ability to lift and carry up to 25-30 pounds, and comfort in working in a casino environment with exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise. Certifications such as Food Handler and BASSET are preferred, and candidates must be able to complete all mandatory training prior to starting departmental duties. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply, reflecting the inclusive culture of American Place Casino. This opportunity is ideal for those who are passionate about hospitality, eager to develop new skills, and ready to contribute to a dynamic and growing company recognized for excellence in guest service and employee satisfaction.
