Job Requirements

  • culinary degree preferred
  • bachelor’s degree in food services technology, management, or related field preferred
  • three to five years culinary or kitchen management experience
  • experience with catering event planning and management
  • strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of food trends, food cost control, sanitation, and food presentation
  • computer proficiency
  • excellent communication skills
  • flexible availability including weekends
  • ServSafe® certification

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • evaluate food products to ensure quality standards
  • organize and coordinate kitchen staff for efficient food preparation
  • maintain employee communications to improve service quality
  • analyze performance trends and lead improvements
  • follow standardized recipes and portioning
  • train kitchen staff in food safety and equipment operation
  • establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules
  • manage inventory of food and supplies
  • make decisions on leftover food utilization
  • comply with health and sanitation regulations
  • participate in meetings and professional programs
