Job Qualifications
- A college degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Demonstrate proficiency with all kitchen equipment
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of cost and labor controls
- Be well-versed in both traditional and contemporary culinary techniques
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, member-focused environment
- Experience in private club or hospitality industry preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee the development and execution of menus and meal planning/production
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- Procure food supplies and organize inventory
- Determine budgetary requirements and adhere to financial guidelines
- Analyze food and labor production reports to control expenses
- Lead recruitment, selection, and hiring of kitchen staff
- Coordinate scheduling and resolve employee issues
- Evaluate and implement safe workplace practices
- Act as a representative of the club in member interactions
- Provide professional and responsive service to members and guests
- Lead and participate actively as a team member
- Oversee the work of kitchen employees to ensure teamwork
