The establishment operates within a resort-style residential community comprising 900 residents, known for its elevated hospitality standards and a vibrant, engaging community atmosphere. The role of Executive Sous Chef at this location is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all daily culinary operations. This includes management of the caf, lounge, poolside service, and resident social hours, ensuring that each area reflects the highest quality of food preparation and customer interaction. Serving as the sole onsite manager, the Executive Sous Chef leads an hourly team of eight, including a supervisor, navigating a seven-day-a-week operational schedule that demands both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement. This role requires an individual who thrives in guest-facing environments, excels in building rapport with regular patrons, and balances creative culinary expression with rigorous operational discipline.

Key responsibilities include executing a fresh and approachable menu featuring salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, smoothies, and a full coffee program; delivering high-quality catering for community events; maintaining resort-style service standards with strong guest engagement; and overseeing specialty offerings such as fresh pizza from an onsite oven and Friday grill activations. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years management experience
  • One year work experience in culinary services or food industry
  • Proven ability to manage solo as the only onsite manager
  • Strong culinary and operational skills including ordering and service flow
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks like scheduling and inventory
  • Effective leadership and team-building skills
  • Commitment to consistent high-quality guest service

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience
  • At least 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, catering, or hospitality
