Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous lead culinary experience
  • Food service permit as required by local or state agency
  • ServSafe certification obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a lead culinary role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree, culinary degree, or certificate preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience supervising and leading a team preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Partner with the executive chef to direct and coordinate culinary department activities
  • Lead and supervise culinary team to ensure quality and timeliness of food products
  • Ensure compliance with national menu programs, approved product lists, and inventory procedures
  • Select, develop, and retain talented culinary staff
  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with laws
  • Respond quickly and politely to guest requests and follow up for satisfaction
  • Assist in creating menus, custom menus, and special features
  • Maintain communication between departments regarding programs and events
