Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree required
  • Pastry degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in culinary/baking and pastry field
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • 2+ years teaching pastry arts
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Ability to work a semi-flexible schedule including some Saturdays and 1 evening a week
  • Ability to stand for long hours, bend, push, lift up to 40 pounds
  • Occasional travel 2-5 times per year
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Demonstration of growth mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree required

  • Proven expertise in the pastry arts including classic and contemporary techniques
  • 5+ years experience in culinary/baking and pastry field
  • 3+ years experience in a supervisory role
  • 2+ years experience teaching pastry arts
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with agility, curiosity, accountability, and innovation

Job Duties

  • Create and update course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional materials based on industry standards and current pastry trends
  • Review and approve all new curriculum ensuring all lesson plans and recipe documentation are accurate and up to date
  • Teach Sweet Studio classes with a focus on baking/pastry and advanced classes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and refine recipes for taste, texture, and shelf stability
  • Train, schedule, and manage adjunct instructors and Sweet Studio staff to ensure proper staffing
  • Conduct tastings and presentations to communicate the value of Wilton products and education
  • Manage kitchen operations including inventory control, cost management, class preparation, and ordering supplies
