This role is based at The Romer House Waikiki in Hawaii and focuses on direct booking and detailing of small meetings and room blocks catering to both corporate and social clients. The position aims to maximize the hotel's profitability and revenue through strategic upselling and the achievement of sales goals. The successful candidate will perform job responsibilities adhering strictly to organizational standards while building strong client relationships to ensure seamless event execution and overall client satisfaction. Key duties include actively selling guest rooms and food and beverage to small groups, reviewing sales contracts to confirm terms such as room blocks, cut-off dates, and special concessions, and monitoring deadlines related to group reservations and event requirements. The role involves preparing proposals and contracts, coordinating with relevant departments, and representing the hotel at client and industry functions. Regular participation in various meetings such as sales, operations, and banquet event order (BEO) meetings is also critical to success. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for exceeding competition, maintain professionalism, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- perform job responsibilities in accordance with organizational standards
- cultivate client partnerships and ensure all details are communicated and executed for successful and enjoyable experience
- actively sell guest rooms and food and beverage to small groups, ensuring monthly and quarter goals are met
- review sales contracts and validate key details with clients including room blocks, cut-off date, special concessions, and attrition clauses
- monitor and enforce deadline dates related to group rooms cut-off, banquet event order requirements, and function guarantees
- create and distribute group resumes and communicate changes to appropriate departments timely
- recommend enhancements or upgrades to maximize revenue
- engage in site visits and client meetings
- confirm payment information
- participate in weekly sales, operations, and BEO meetings and other needed meetings
- prepare proposals and contracts advising prospective guests of hotel meeting space and rate availability
- professionally represent the hotel at client and industry functions
- obtain rooming list details and request deposits where applicable
- maintain a passion and drive to outperform competition
- attend all department and hotel meetings as necessary
- follow standard operating procedures as outlined
- perform any other assigned job duties
