Job Description

Our client is a leading hospitality group renowned for their commitment to delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences across their diverse portfolio of high-volume properties. With an emphasis on quality, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence, this organization has established itself as a pillar in the hospitality industry. Based in New York, NY, they offer a dynamic and supportive workplace culture where innovation, teamwork, and career growth are encouraged. Their properties attract a wide array of guests, and the culinary teams play a crucial role in upholding the brand's reputation for outstanding dining experiences. This executive chef position is a key leadership role within one of their flagship establishments, demanding a balance of culinary expertise, operational acumen, and team management skills.

The Executive Chef role is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with extensive leadership experience in high-volume, complex operations. This position requires a hands-on, results-driven individual who will take full ownership of culinary quality and consistency, ensuring every dish served delights guests and meets the brand’s high standards. The successful candidate will lead a large kitchen team, fostering a positive, guest-focused environment while driving efficiency and operational excellence.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a solid track record of progressing from hands-on culinary roles into leadership, showcasing their ability to manage food cost, labor, and inventory effectively. They must have a deep understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling processes, maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and compliance. The ability to lead, mentor, and develop a diverse kitchen team is essential, as well as strong computer skills for managing food and beverage reporting systems.

This role also involves close collaboration with front-of-house teams, vendors, visiting chefs, and guests—a position requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual language abilities are an asset but not mandatory. From participating in daily briefings to making strategic hiring decisions and operational reporting to senior leadership, the Executive Chef will play a vital role in the day-to-day success and long-term growth of the property’s culinary operations.

The role offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, and opportunities for career advancement within the organization. The established systems and supportive, team-oriented culture provide a rewarding environment for a passionate leader dedicated to delivering consistently exceptional cuisine. If you have the drive for operational excellence and a passion for mentoring others in a fast-paced hospitality setting, this leadership position represents a compelling next step in your culinary career.
