Job Description

Cooper's Hawk is a renowned hospitality brand that combines a Napa-style tasting room featuring wine-inspired retail products with a full-service restaurant, bar, and private event space. The company offers a modern yet casual dining experience that emphasizes a strong connection between exceptional food and award-winning wines. This strategic pairing elevates dining and wine-tasting into a comprehensive lifestyle experience. Established in 2005, Cooper's Hawk has cultivated one of the largest wine clubs in the world, providing exclusive benefits such as curated dining and travel experiences to its members. The brand has expanded its culinary offerings with Piccolo Buco by Cooper's Hawk, which introduces the vibrant and authentic flavors of Rome to its patrons, broadening its appeal to a diverse clientele. Over the years, the company has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, scratch-made menu items crafted to complement its wines, providing guests with an unmatched and memorable dining experience.

The role of Executive Kitchen Manager at Cooper's Hawk plays a pivotal part in maintaining and advancing this unique dining experience. This position requires managing a fast-paced, high-volume scratch kitchen with an unwavering commitment to food quality, consistency, safety, and exceptional service. The Executive Kitchen Manager will provide strong leadership and development for the culinary team, ensuring operational excellence in all kitchen activities. Responsibilities include overseeing all kitchen operations, collaborating closely with the culinary team to develop and roll out new menu items, and maintaining compliance with company standards and policies. A critical aspect of the role is fostering a respectful, positive, and professional kitchen environment that aligns with the company's values. The Executive Kitchen Manager also supervises hiring, training, and scheduling to optimize staffing based on operational needs and forecasting, contributing directly to financial and operational results. The position involves leading private events and wine club dinners, which highlights the role’s strategic importance in delivering an exceptional guest experience that meshes perfectly with Cooper’s Hawk's focus on wine and culinary excellence.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in working hours, including weekend and holiday shifts, averaging 50-60 hours per week. Applicants should have at least two to three years of kitchen management experience in a full-service scratch kitchen, preferably with experience in fast-paced environments. Proficiency in communication, financial acumen, and computer systems, including POS and inventory software, is essential. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Cooper's Hawk offers competitive pay combined with comprehensive benefits, such as medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, employee discounts, and unique perks like monthly wine tastings, development programs with monetary incentives, and wellness resources, fostering a supportive work environment dedicated to employee growth and well-being. Cooper's Hawk is also committed to diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process.
